In this workshop, students will produce a set of small pamphlets and a slipcase. This is ideal for creating a collection of sketchbooks or notebook projects using text and imagery.
The pamphlet is a bookbinding structure consisting of several sheets of paper folded in half and sewn at the crease. Gregory will cover the pamphlet stitch using a double-pamphlet method.
These techniques are simple and inexpensive, producing structures that are durable, space-efficient, and extremely customizable. Students will be able to reproduce these structures on their own, using household sewing materials.
